The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has erected the Lord Venkateswara temple in many places like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Rishikesh and Delhi.
The decision of building a shrine of Tirupati in Kanyakumari was taken in 2010, Millions of devotees were supporting that and the construction works started by July 2013.
5.5 acres of land on of the Vivekananda Kendra premises near the shores of Kanyakumari was given for building the temple.
The temple was built at an estimate of 22.5 crore rupees and the doors of Sri Venkateshwara swamy temple opened for dharisanam for its devotees on Sunday, Jan 27 2019, after its Maha Kumbhabhishekam ceremony.

Laddu from the Tirupati Devasthanam was offered as the Prasadham, there were many police deployment for security purposes, MLAs Suresh Rajan and Austin, MP A Vijayakumar also took part in the event.
Devotees from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra gathered in Vivekananda Kendra for the Maha Kumbhabhishekam which was held from 7.35 am on Sunday, Jan 27th.
The efforts of establishing the car streets are underway where the temple car procession would happen during the festival season of the year.
It has been said that all the special occasions and festivals that are observed in the Tirumala Tirupati will also be observed here in its replica at Kanyakumari also.
This temple has the places for offering hair, doing annadhanam, and also quarters for the priests, it has a goshala and a temple pond as well.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal told that the construction of this shrine in the famous pilgrim site of Kanyakumari started five years ago and was constructed at an estimated cost of 22.5 crores and its opening was held in a grandeur way.
The EO Anil Kumar also told about various other development activities in Tamil Nadu which includes the building of Sri Padmavathi Devi temple at Chennai with 5.75 crores Estimate.
He added that construction of two Tirupati temples has begun at Kolkata and Bhubaneswar of West Bengal and Odisha respectively.
